Emily Blunt and John Krasinski’s Family Fun Day at the 2023 U.S. Open

In a heartwarming family affair, beloved couple Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, along with their daughters Hazel, 9, and Violet, 6, attended the 2023 U.S. Open on September 8. This rare public outing for the family of four was a delightful spectacle at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City. The kids sipped on refreshments and were comfortably seated between their parents. At one point, Violet climbed onto her dad’s lap, adding to the heartwarming family moments. Emily was seen engaging with Hazel, showing her support for the tennis plays with applause and audible reactions.

Emily and John’s family excursion comes two months after the “Devil Wears Prada” actress revealed her decision to take a break from acting to spend quality time with her children. On the July 10 episode of iHeart’s “Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi” podcast, she shared her thoughts, saying, “This year, I’m not working. I worked quite a bit last year, and my oldest baby is nine, so we’re in the last year of single digits.” Emily continued, emphasizing the importance of being present for her children’s daily routines and needs during their formative years.

The day of their U.S. Open attendance featured thrilling matches, including the men’s singles semi-finals, the women’s doubles semi-finals, and the men’s doubles final. The following day, 19-year-old Coco Gauff made history by defeating Aryna Sabalenka to claim her first Grand Slam title in the women’s singles championship. Gauff became the first teenager to play in a U.S. Open final since Serena Williams in 2001 and secured her place in history as the first American to win the singles title since Sloane Stephens in 2017.
